Dear Visitor, welcome to our site!
The Nursery School Teachers Training College of Hajdúböszörmény, the predecessor institution of the Faculty of Child and Adult Education of the University of Debrecen, opened its gates in 1971 to the first students wishing to study preschool education.
The mission of the faculty is to provide quality education with highly qualified staff in an up-to-date infrastructure. More specifically the mission is to provide higher education courses in initial training and at master’s level alike. All this, assisted by ongoing applied research work, will empower our trainees to meet the requirements of an ever-changing labour market. Also via well-organised in-service and further training programmes, and contacts, we enhance the innovation and development of human resources in nearby and more distant regions.
"Knowledge-future-success" these are the terms that best describe our endeavours to facilitate our alumni’s promising professional careers in the future. At our faculty we offer quite a range of educational programmes: vocational higher education (Infant and Early Childhood Development) bachelor’s degree studies (BA: Adult Education (Andragogy), Nursery School Teacher Training, Social Education) and a master’s degree course (MA: Human Resources Counsellor) thus enabling students to further their education in the same institution, or at other faculties of the university, providing beneficial synergy.
We create the best possible conditions for our students’ studies, and for the most beautiful years of their transition to adulthood. The range of activities based on the ’Chance Programme’, the harmony, joy, and a friendly, supportive atmosphere at the Faculty encourage our students to be more interested in their studies.
